Pacific Design Landscaping (“we,” “us”) designs and builds outdoor living spaces for homeowners in California. This policy explains what information we collect through pacificdesignlandscape.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We operate only in California and serve only United States residents.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete our design quiz or contact us, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your property address (street, city, state, ZIP), which you may enter with the help of Google’s address autocomplete
- Details about your project: yard size, timeline, budget range, the areas and features you want, your style preferences, and any site conditions you tell us about
- Anything you write in the free-text message field
- Your communication preferences, including whether you agreed to be contacted by phone and text and whether you opted in to marketing email
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our providers collect:
- Your IP address, browser type, and device information
- Pages viewed and actions taken on the site
- The advertisement or link that brought you here, through URL tags (UTM parameters) and advertising identifiers such as Meta’s
_fbpand_fbccookies
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our services are not directed to children.
How we use it
- To contact you about your project, schedule a design consultation, and prepare your design and proposal
- To assess whether your project is within our service area and scope
- To send you the confirmation email and scheduling link after you submit the quiz
- To send marketing email, only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
- To measure which advertisements bring us genuine enquiries, so we spend our advertising budget sensibly
- To keep records of the consent you gave us to contact you
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that make our business run, and only so they can perform that service for us. Each is bound to use it for that purpose alone.
- Supabase — our database, where your enquiry is stored (United States)
- Vercel — hosting for this website
- Zoho CRM — our customer record system, so we can manage your project
- Resend — sends the confirmation and notification emails
- Calendly — lets you book your design consultation
- Outcraft — helps us reach you promptly by phone and email to arrange your consultation
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — we send Meta a record that an enquiry occurred, including your email address and phone number in a hashed (scrambled and unreadable) form, so Meta can tell us which advertisement worked without us handing over readable contact details
- Google — address autocomplete when you type your property address
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, our team, or the public.
Calls and text messages
When you submit the quiz you agree that we may contact you at the phone number you provided, including by automated calls and text messages, about your design and scheduling. Consent is not a condition of buying anything from us. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop calling at any time by telling us so on a call or emailing us at the address below.
Calls with us may be recorded or transcribed for quality and accuracy. If a call is being recorded, we will tell you at the start of that call, and you can decline.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably do business with you, and afterwards only as long as we need them for legitimate business or legal reasons — typically our records of consent, contracts, and completed work. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where we are required to keep it.
Your choices
- See what we hold. Ask us and we will tell you what information we have about you.
- Correct it. Tell us if something is wrong and we will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
- Stop hearing from us. Unsubscribe from any marketing email, reply STOP to any text, or tell us on a call.
To make any of these requests, email pacificdesignlandscape@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not treat you differently for asking.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand which advertisements bring genuine enquiries. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings. Refusing them may affect how parts of the site work. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as there is no common standard for them.
Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls on our systems, and restricted internal access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
California residents
We serve California homeowners, and this policy is posted in accordance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California privacy law. The rights described under “Your choices” above are available to you regardless of whether the California Consumer Privacy Act currently applies to a business of our size.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
